The Department of Healthcare and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional and results oriented individual to serve as the Chief Labor Relations Officer. This position will plan, direct, evaluate, and oversee staff in the Labor Relations Office. This position reports to the HR Administrator and represents the agency as spokesperson relative to labor relations policies and procedures, grievance proceedings, unfair labor practice complaints, and in mediation or arbitration hearings. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about labor relations management in fast paced environment.
The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills and will understand the need to demonstrate solid ethics, in this critical role. They will be a professional, organized, and results-orientated individual with a proven track record of success in labor relations. They will possess the ability to collaborate with staff and demonstrate strong conflict-resolution skills. They will possess an understanding of labor laws, and regulations and clearly understand the nuances of unionized environments. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who possesses the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations and is passionate about labor relations management.
