Job Description

Position Summary

In the position of Sr Data Analyst, you will create and manage the statistical forecasts in SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and turn large volumes of data into operations and commercial insights of new and existing products. Facilitate development of best-in-class dashboards and numerical review of the different building blocks of demand and gap management of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and financial plans. Create simulations of various scenarios, assessing the potential impact of market changes, strategic decisions, or unforeseen events.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collect, analyze, create, and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive supply chain decisions.
  • Create accurate demand forecasts using statistical methods and historical data to support supply chain planning.
  • Utilize advanced planning systems and tools to support data-driven decision-making and maintain data integrity. Make data-driven decisions with greater confidence, minimizing risks and maximizing opportunities for improved service, revenue projections, inventory and cost optimization.
  • Generate and present detailed reports on supply chain performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Logistics, and Sales to ensure cohesive supply chain operations. Play a key role in supporting the S&OP Demand Planning Review ensuring one aligned volume number running through our systems and business
  • Validate SAP IBP master data and minimize errors. Improve data intensive processes and decision making through streamlined data validation rules
  • Utilize statistical forecasting tools (SAP IBP) and techniques to generate accurate baseline/total forecasts and identify potential demand fluctuations
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and S&OP, identifying areas for improvement. In particular, continuously monitor forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Leverage advanced analytical and statistical methods to predict future trends collecting and analyzing large amounts of internal and external data utilizing SAP IBP statistical algorithms.
  • Enable aligned understanding (i.e. “one current version of the truth”) and shared choices/decisions on the key forecasting risks, opportunities and assumptions.

Position Requirements

  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in Statistical Modelling
  • Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in Demand Forecasting
  • Computer Skills Desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Experience with SQL, Python, SAP IBP, SAP APO, PowerBI, and Excel
  • Preferred Certifications: N/A
  • Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Strong proficiency in statistical forecast techniques and demand planning methodologies required.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate different streams of data and business intelligence into technical statistical forecast.

Base Salary Range: $71,250 - $95,000
