Schedule: Flexible, 8-hour workday across site visits and admin time

Apollo After School is a comprehensive extended day program for students in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. Our research-based curriculum provides a safe, fun and friendly environment for families who need quality childcare outside of regular school hours.

Our incredible team of educators and administrators provide our students with homework help, enrichment activities and physical activities every day of the week. We’ll see you at Apollo!

Apollo After School is looking for a driven, people-centered Area Coordinator to oversee program success across multiple school sites! Are you a natural leader who thrives in dynamic environments? Do you have a passion for education and team development?

As an Area Coordinator, you’ll be the heartbeat of our afterschool programs—managing client relationships, guiding Site Directors, ensuring regulatory compliance, and creating environments where children, families, and staff thrive.

What You’ll Do

Client & Relationship Management

  • Be the main point of contact for your assigned school partners, parents and families.
  • Build strong client relationships, resolve concerns, and work cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Customer Service.
  • Provide thoughtful, tailored solutions to site-specific challenges.

Site Operations & Oversight

  • Conduct consistent site visits to monitor program quality.
  • Ensure staff are trained, equipped, and operating within company policies.
  • Support Site Directors in managing day-to-day operations and team performance.
  • Manage the before care, after care program and summer camp in the assigned location.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor Site Directors to lead their teams with confidence and integrity.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with HR in recruiting, onboarding, and evaluating staff.

Administrative & Compliance Tasks

  • Maintain accurate records, support licensing inspections, and lead compliance efforts.
  • Manage payroll approval and scheduling through our timekeeping tools.
  • Ensure government subsidy documentation is current and complete.

Communication & Engagement

  • Engage with families and school staff through regular updates and newsletters.
  • Organize monthly onsite meetings and ongoing communication with stakeholders.

We’re Looking for Someone Who...

  • Has a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree in any field related to Children or Business.
  • Has a minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams (10 direct reports) and educational programs (afterschool or youth-centered programs a plus!).
  • Has reliable transportation to commute from site to site.
  • Is confident with compliance, licensing, and administrative processes.
  • Brings a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site role and enjoys being on the move.
  • Understands the importance of clear communication and leadership development.

Perks of the Role and Compensation

  • Annual salary of $65,000 to $75,000 plus eligibility for bonuses
  • Health Insurance Options
  • Participation in our Employee Child Participation Program
  • Health Insurance eligibility from day 1.
  • Autonomy to manage and grow your region
  • Meaningful work impacting students, families, and educators
  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities
  • Supportive, mission-driven team environment
